Effect of Tarantula cubensis alcoholic extract and Nerium oleander distillate on cell proliferation markers in colon carcinogenesis

Colorectal Cancer (CRC) is defined as colon and rectum cancer among the major causes of mortality in developed Countries. Tarantula cubensis alcoholic extract (TCAE) Nerium oleander distillate (NOD) are reported to have anticancer antioxidative activity. In this study, it was aimed research impact on cell proliferation markers TCAE NOD given simultaneously experimental cancer. A total 24 rats, 6 each group, were used study. Control (CC): Azoxymethane administered at beginning experiment a dose 15 miligrams (mg)· kilograms-1 (kg), (Subcutaneous, SC) twice, with an interval week (wk), induce CC+TCAE: dosage mg·kg-1 (SC) twice wk experiment, while case TCAE, 0.2 mL·kg-1 once for 18 from experiment. As result, concluded that both effective chemopreventive drugs presents more pronounced antiproliferative effect than NOD.
